The history of Pumplohja
Oy PUMPPULOHJA Ab was founded in 1991 as a result of management buyout of Oy Lohja Ab pump department.
The pump manufacture had begun in Lohja Kalkkitehdas in Virkkala as early as the 1950s with the purchase of the ISKU Metalli company.
The manufacture of pressure tanks used in pump units began in Virkkala in 1980. Oy Lohja Ab bought

The marketing and manufacture of the previously mentioned products was transferred to PUMPLOHJA in 1991, and it thenbegan operation in rental premises in Virkkala. Pumplohja bought their own 3,500 m² production premises from Saukkola in Nummi-Pusula in 1993.
In 1995, as the production expanded, additional property of 1,500 m² on the neighbouring lot was purchased. During the same year, an affiliate company called Oy WatMan Ab was founded. Oy WatMan Ab is based in Saukkola and it also operates in the water treatment industry.
